Whilst we wholeheartedly support women’s decision-making rights regarding free birth, we at Serene Births have made the conscious decision to only provide our birth support services to those who are under the care of a registered maternity care provider. We feel as though with our background in midwifery, situations may present where our actions would fall beyond the scope of practice as a doula. After consulting with our legal team to clarify our duty of care, we have decided that presently we are not able to take on clients who are choosing to free birth.

Birth Support Only

This package includes the essential services and suits those who are budget-conscious. Our time together during pregnancy can be spent however you wish, for example covering birth education or sharing hands-on tips and techniques with your birth partner(s). We will provide continuous support for the duration of your labour and birth and remain with you for 1-2 hours after the birth of your baby. Additional meetings are available to purchase, the information for which can be found below.
This package includes the following:
A free 45-minute obligation-free consultation.
A Welcome Pack comprising of individually curated items.
One antenatal meeting (up to 2 hours).
Support via phone, text message and email throughout pregnancy and leading up to the onset of labour.
Access to a comprehensive online resource library including videos, blogs, articles, and professional research studies.
Education on tips and techniques for labour, including light touch massage, acupressure points, positions for labour and birth, and breathing techniques.
Provision of ‘cheat sheets’ to assist your primary birth support person in the above techniques in the early stages of labour.
Assistance with completing a birth plan.
24/7 on-call service from the 38th week of pregnancy.
Our continuous presence and support during labour and birth.
Use of a TENS machine for labour.

This package provides full spectrum support from pregnancy up until 6 weeks after the birth of your baby, including our continuous support during labour and birth. You have total freedom in deciding how we use our antenatal and postpartum meetings - the content is tailored to your unique needs. This package provides the ultimate in full spectrum support, from pregnancy up until 8 weeks after the birth of your baby, including our continuous support during labour and birth. This option includes 6 hours of antenatal support and an amazing 10 hours of postpartum support. Once again the content of our meetings is completely customisable by you, from private birth education sessions during pregnancy to support with housekeeping after the birth or caring for older siblings whilst you settle into life with a newborn and focus on rest and rejuvenation. This option enables you to create a custom-built package, based entirely on your individual needs. We can discuss your requirements during your free consultation and from there we will put together a suitable package.
You have full flexibility of determining the number of meetings and how our time is allocated throughout your antenatal and postpartum periods.
